The Conformational Dependence of Low-Frequency Vibrations of DNA Macromolecule




    Conformational dependence of the vibration spectrum is studied for DNA macromolecule in the range of (10100) cm-1. It is shown possible to determine DNA conformations state and power constants by its low-frequency spectra. The temperature dependence of the spectra under phase transformations of double helix is found. The contribution of the low-frequency vibrations to the processes of the nucleic-protein recognition is under discussion.
