Induction of Disease Resistance in Onion by Biotic Elicitors

Summary

Fat acids contents of alcohol extract of Botrytis allii Munn. mycelium was performed by gas-liquid chromatography. Ci8 and C2o unsaturated fat acids were shown to be present in the extract. Field experiments of the preparation contained the mixture of Cis unsaturated fat acids have confirmed a possibility to use them as biotic elicitors. The method to induce disease resistance in plants has been developed including a pretreatment of seeds by elicitors of defence reactions.
