The Aging Dependent Effects of the Oxidative Stress on the Expression of Some Genes

Summary

    The effect of aging and oxidative stress on the expression of adenine deaminase, albumin and c-myc were explored. The liver was perfused in situ, by 17 mM H2O2. The expression (mRNA levels) of these genes was estimated by dot-hybridization analysis of total RNA. Our results indicate that the expression of these genes increases during rats senescence. It was shown that the oxidative stress induced the increase of mRNA levels these genes in liver of young and old rats.
