OBTAINING AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS TRANSGENIC PEA PLANTS, CONTAINED THE MAIZE Ds-ELEMENT

Pea plants have been transformed with the gene construction containing Ds-element of Ac/Ds maize transposon system. The construction was introduced into pea plants using Agrobaclerium tumefaciens-mediaied transformation. Several transgenic plants have been selected on the nutritional medium contained the kanamycinsulphate as a selective agent. Concentration of NPTII protein was determined by ELISA assay. Using PCR-analyses and Southern blotting hybridization an integration of Ds-element in plant genome has been confirmed.
