cAMP PDE sensitive to methylxanthine, Ca ions and calmoduline and similar to animal PDE has been identificated in 2 days old rye seedlings (Secale cereate). The regulatory effect of cytokinins and abscisic acid on rye PDE has been shown in vitro. The conclusion is made on the possible role of cAMP metabolism enzyme in the interrelation of adenylate cyclase system with phytohormones.
