The purification procedure of the extracts from the yeast mitotic and meiotic S. cerevisiae and the recombination activity between ho¬mologous plasmids containing different mutant alleles of the fet-gene has been described. The reaction of recombination required Mg T and was ATP and dNTP-indepcndent. The molecular weight of recombinant complex wax 440—450 kDa.
