In order to investigate antimicrobial activity of more then 300 compounds of the series of isoflavonoids and 4-phenylcoumarins Salmonella typhimurium LT.2, Escherichia coll and Candida albi-cans were used. Two structural chemical fragments 7-( J-Rr2-R2-J-on-ethyl)-O-4-phenylcou.marin and 2-R4-3-Rs-6-R-r8-R'r7-R{O-diromone possessing antibactericidal and anticandidal effects were determined.
