Regulation of the type I interferon genes and interferon-inducible genes. The relationship with the viral reproduction under HIV-infection

A. V. Karpov

A comparative data analysis concerning the simultaneous par¬ticipation of the group of cellular and viral protein transcription factors in the regulation of induced expression of the type I interferons (a- and fi-IFNs) genes and some IFN-inducible genes as well as in the regulation of HIV reproduction in infected cells is given. On basis of the data presented the conclusion is made about the expediency of the search of the therapeutic ways influencing HIV-infection by modulation of the certain transcription factors involved in the type I IFN genes expression.
