Abstract

Пропонуються механізми мутагенезу, викликаного УФ-опроміненням. Припускається, що основними пошкодженнями, що призводять до транзицій, трансверсій, мутацій зсуву рамки зчитування та до складних мутацій, є зміни тауто­мерного стану нуклеотидных основ, які порушують характер їхнього спарювання. Сильне збудження коливань при безвипромінювальному дезбудженні ДНК, яка поглинула УФ-квант з триплетного електронного рівня енергії, спричинює зміни довжин водневих (Н) зв'язків між основами. Такі зміни мо­жуть відбуватися як у парах основ, утворюючих димери, так і в парах основ, які не є їхньою частиною. Скоріш за все, мутаційними є лише ті димери, в яких змінився таутомерний стан основ. У цьому й полягає одна з головних відмінностей пропонованої моделі від загальноприйнятої, де припускається, що з точки зору мутагенності всі димери однакові, а тільки ДНК-полімераза іноді помиляється, випадково вбудовуючи че­ком плементарні основи.
