The role of A1583 in the mRNA target of the ribosomal protein L10 is critical for the autogenous control of the Escherichia coli rplJ gene expression

The role of A1583 in the mRNA target of the ribosomal protein L10 for the autogenous control of the E. coli rplJ gene expression was tested via an A1583 → G substitution. The in vivo test proved A1583 to be crucial for execution of the rplJ gene expression control.
